About Us
Team Care Training Academy
We are a team of individuals passionate about care, community, and education mentoring our students to become equipped and graduate with key job skills. Together with our partners, we are working hand in hand in preparing our students to secure employment and training them to enhance their knowledge and practical expertise in meeting the needs of future clients. We have taken our combined competence in various fields and put them together to create a holistic learning experience for our students!
Meet our Founder
Marisa began her career in Health Care as an analyst working in both IT and Supply Chain for Johnson & Johnson. She worked there for about 11 years and then began developing software for several different industries at Infor; she developed into a Product Manager and in 2015 made a drastic change to create a company with her husband Jamie.
They saw the need for reliable care in the community and took the leap starting Care Right There Home Care, LLC. The company began to flourish but always needed good quality home health aides, so in 2020 they started The Care Training Academy and have been working through the pandemic and into present day building a strong program and adding onto it.
Marisa oversees, develops and markets the school and its programs and is now a Registered CPR/BLS/AED Instructor as well as the academy’s Notary Public. She is excited to contribute the much needed programs and personal development to anyone in need in her local community aiming to develop the academy int the #1 source Southern New Jersey can lean on for quality, high-skilled staff for all entry level healthcare needs.

We have some of the most experienced and equipped nurses and instructors dedicated not only to training our students to become highly skilled graduates in their chosen fields but also to motivating them to develop empathy and effective care toward their patients. We are continually striving for excellence by reviewing students’ feedback and working in unison to build effective instruction and create new ideas and resources for our student’s professional growth.
JoAnne Dennison, RN BSN
Substitute CHHA Program Instructor
JoAnne was raised in Reston, VA. She graduated with a BS in Nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She has been a practicing nurse since 1987. She has been in home health care since 1989 when she and her husband moved to Deptford, NJ. She has worked in a variety of homecare settings as a Nurse Case Manager giving direct care with wound (including wound vac), IV, CHF, diabetic and respiratory management; teaching disease management, medications and treatments. She worked directly with high-risk pediatrics for 8 years. She has worked as a Nursing Supervisor in the pediatric home care setting for 5 years.
She joined Care Right There Home Care, LLC as Director of Nursing in Sept 2017 and enjoys working with clients to give them access to quality care that helps them live safely at home. She is a Board of Nursing Certified instructor for the HHA training program at The Care Training Academy and oversees instructors for all other programs. When JoAnne has spare time, she enjoys gardening, nature hikes, the beach, and her pets.

Jamie Betancourt has been an EMT for several years before becoming a ParaMedic, and in 2005 he became a Registered Nurse working in the Emergency Departement of Children’s Hopsital of Philadelphia where he continues to work today. In 2016 he and his wife started Care Right There Home Care, LLC out of their home and it has flourished into a successful home care company. In 2020 they opened The Care Training Academy where he has been an assistant instructor for Certifies Home Health aides, CPR/BLS and ACLS Certifications.
Jamie oversees the supervision of clients and home health aides and has a passion for education and training. When Jamie is not nursing or teaching, he is a father to 5 children, has 4 grandchildren and enjoys brewing (and tasting) high quality IPAs and spending time with his family.
MYRNA CELESTIN-RN
MSN CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR
She is a Registered Nurse for more than a decade. Her passion for teaching motivates her to go back to school and obtained her master’s degree in Education. She has been working with the Care Training Academy as an instructor for Certified Home Health Aides and will soon be partnering to Administer CPR/ BLS and ACLS Certifications as well as Med Tech, and eventually CNA.
She loves to go to church and live God’s words through her profession. She strongly believes that being a nurse one must follow God’s words: by caring, being humble, and being kind to one another. She strives to be an exemplary role model to her peers and my family. She also loves dogs and cats.
